CUSTOMER REVIEWS
I watched at least two hours of it last night, and was favorably impressed. The quality of the video is excellent. The table of contents is key to the use of this DVD. Once I popped the DVD into my player, my first inclination was to watch the whole production, as I would do with a movie. I watched for about half an hour to forty-five minutes. I stopped because I did not have five hours available to view the entire program. However, my viewing time was greatly prolonged because I kept scanning the table of contents and viewing selected topics. The interaction between the table of contents and the presentation itself worked very well.

Remembering a Friend - In Memoriam Thomas Manolakas

Golden Gate University Tribute to Thomas Manolakas

The School of Taxation lost a dear friend. loyal alumnus and beloved faculty member on June 4, 2OO4, when Thomas G. ("Sam") Manolakas (MS 86) died of cancer.

Many GGU students experienced Manolakas' adept skills in the classroom; he taught in the LLM program 20 years ago and returned to teach in the MS tax program this past spring.
Manolakas was of counsel to Boutin Dentino Gibson Di Giusto Hodell Inc., and was highly regarded as an expert in the areas of partnership and real-estate taxation. He conducted many seminars on these topics. "Sam was a brilliant tax lawyer, scholar, lecturer and author as well as a loyal friend and generous contributor to the School of Tax and the tax community" said Dean Mary Canning. "His colorful character will be greatly missed." Manolakas also was a
founding member of the School of Taxation advisory board.

To honor Manolakas and his years of dedication to future generations of tax professionals,
GGU is creating a scholarship fund in his memory.

Contributions may be directed to:

Thomas G. Manolakas Scholarship Fund,
GGU School of Taxation,
536 Mission St.,
San Francisco, CA 94105.

lf enough funds are raised to meet the endowment minimum of $100,000, the scholarship
will become a permanent tribute to be awarded annually.
